We’re Tim and Krista Herrin, proud owners of Herrin’s Apiary. Nestled in rural Manito, we share our lives with our two wonderful children and both work within the Midwest Central School District.
What began as a simple one-hive hobby quickly blossomed into a thriving passion for Tim, growing into an operation of over 30 hives. We’re dedicated to keeping our bees happy and healthy by maintaining a treatment-free environment—no pesticides here! Our bees thrive naturally, resulting in pure, delicious honey that we’re thrilled to share with you.

Jordan and Michaela Abegg started EC Engravings in 2024. Their cups have made make it easier for customers to get their favorite drinks at Roasted!
LEAFY LANE
Joli discovered her love for house plants in 2020 during the COVID pandemic, and soon after, her friend Stephanie, an experienced outdoor gardener, also found joy in caring for indoor plants. In 2022, they decided to share their passion with others by opening Leafy Lane, a local plant haven at the beginning of the Spoon River Drive. Leafy Lane specializes in a range of house plants and provides expertly crafted growing medium to help both veteran plant parents and newcomers succeed in their indoor gardening endeavors.
